Champion Macau sprinter and Hong Kong Group 1 winner, former Australian racehorse Natural Blitz reportedly broke down right on the post at Sha Tin, 12th of May 2008. His staus is currently unknown.

Update 24/11/2008 - Unbelievebly, it has taken 6 months to discover that Natural Blitz did indeed fracture his leg and was put down back in May when he broke down. Thanks to Kate and Rebecca for helping to track down this information which certainly hasn't been easy to get.

New Zealand bred galloper Brave Nature was eased out of the race from about the 200 metres and was found to be severely lame in the off foreleg. Jockey R Silvera was warned that under similar circumstances he should dismount from his horse and lead it back. His status is current unknown, Macau 18th of April 2008.
